Beliefs that the Bible is God's inspired and inerrant Word, and is our final authority in all matters in one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, truly God, and truly man; in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension, present advocacy, and imminent return that all people are sinners by nature and by practice, and that we, in our natural state, are completely and eternally separated from God that Christ died and shed His blood as a sacrifice for the sins of the world that salvation is a free and everlasting gift of God, entirely apart from works; and that every person is responsible to receive this salvation through faith in the finished work on the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit regenerates with divine life, that He indwells and keeps all believers, and that He instructs and empowers believers in their Christian walk in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to receive His own. He will judge and reward each believer for his works in the bodily resurrection of the dead; the believer to unending bliss with Christ, and the unbeliever to unending punishment apart from God that the true church is the body of Christ, of which He is the head, composed of all believers, and that the local church is the visible expression on earth of this true church that baptism by immersion signifies the believer's identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism indicates a desire to walk in newness of life that the Lord's Supper is a memorial commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ in which believers remember and proclaim Christ's death until He comes |
